Alberta Rose Bertrand

Alberta Rose Bertrand, 105, of Hot Springs Village, AR passed away Friday, June 9, 2017 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home. She was a former resident of San Diego, CA.

Alberta was born May 25, 1912 in Vincennes, IN to George and Mary (Kare) Hebert.

Alberta married Raymond Bertrand, Sr. on April 6, 1931. Alberta is preceded in death by her loving husband, parents, sister Peggy and husband Hedric Stinespring. Brothers, Cletus and wife Ceil, Adrian and wife Bertha, Gerald, Rev. John. And brother-in-law, Robert Guimond.

Alberta is survived by sister Marge Guimond and sister-in-law, Doreen Hebert. Five sons, Raymond Jr. (Mary), Jerry (Cathy), Jim (Claudia) of Hot Springs Village, AR. John (Barbara) of San Diego, CA, and Bob of Clifton, IL, 25 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren and 26 great great grandchildren.

Alberta loved to bowl and play cards. She was also an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers.

Alberta served as Eucharistic Minister in San Diego, CA. She and Ray were active in Worldwide Marriage Encounter for 25 years.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Rosary at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Rev. Father Bill Elser officiating.

Burial with graveside services will be held in Montecito Memorial Park in Colton, CA.
